Our Dental Services in Oswego

Our Oswego dentists offer a wide range of dental services to meet all your oral health needs:

General and Preventive Dentistry

Regular cleanings, exams, and X-rays allow our dentist to detect issues early before they become more complex and expensive. We can identify areas of decay, infection, or other problems and treat them promptly. Cleanings remove harmful plaque that causes gum disease and tooth decay. We also provide fillings, sealants, oral cancer screenings, custom night guards, and other preventive care for your entire family.

Pediatric Dentistry

We offer specialized dental care for infants, children, and teenagers. Our dentist sees children starting at their first tooth through late teens. Pediatric dental services include:

  • Cleanings, exams, sealants, fluoride treatments
  • Sealants and fluoride to stop cavities
  • Trauma treatment for injuries to teeth and gums
  • Habit-breaking guidance for thumb-sucking, nail-biting, etc.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Our Oswego dentist enhances smiles through cosmetic dentistry like teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, and bonding. Teeth whitening is a conservative approach to brightening teeth stained from coffee, wine, smoking, etc. Veneers and bonding mask flaws with thin, customized shells or composite resin. We also offer smile makeovers combining several cosmetic dentistry treatments for dramatic results.

Implant Dentistry

Dental implants act as replacement tooth roots, providing secure support for implants, bridges, or dentures. They’re the optimal choice to replace single or multiple missing teeth. Implants halt bone loss and promote bone growth and gum health. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth. We offer both surgical placement and restorations supported by implants.

Sleep Apnea Care

Sleep disorders like sleep apnea can have health impacts if left untreated. We provide customized oral appliances worn at night to allow normal breathing and restful sleep. We also work with medical sleep specialists to diagnose and manage sleep apnea.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of dental implants?
How often should I get my teeth cleaned?

Most people should get a professional cleaning every six months. Your exact frequency depends on factors like oral health history, habits, and risk for disease. Your dentist will recommend the ideal schedule for you.

Do I need X-rays at my check-up?

Yes, most dentists recommend receiving dental X-rays once yearly. Dental X-rays allow your dental team to detect issues like cavities, abscesses, and cysts that cannot be seen during a visual exam. They’re safe and fast, playing a vital role in preventive care. Many modern dentists take digital X-rays, minimizing your radiation exposure.

What are dental sealants?

Sealants are thin, plastic coatings painted onto the chewing surfaces of back teeth. They protect against decay by sealing out plaque and food. They’re quick and painless to apply. Sealants are highly recommended for children but also benefit adults prone to cavities.

What are the benefits of dental implants?

Implants fuse with the jawbone, providing stable, durable tooth replacement. They halt bone loss and stimulate bone growth. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Implants are the optimal long-term solution for missing teeth.
